American Engineered Products has developed a simple and truly maintenance free telescoping flagpole, making it the flagpole of choice.
AEP has brought three major improvements to the telescoping flagpole industry. The first is the "Easy Lock" system (pantent number________) which uses an upper and lower sleeve system. As you raise the lower section the lower section automatically indexes into the upper sleeve, no matter the position of the pole. This is the simplest system on the market with only two parts per section and no sping loaded button to line up or snap in place. AEP uses Lexan GE141(polycarbonate) with a UV blocker for longer life.
The second major development is our patented pending "Swivel Ring System." No more disassembly of your flagpole to replace worn swivels. Each swivel is split for easy removal. The top swivel has its own guide that is similar to a truck which allows for the flag to rotate more freely than other swivel systems. The swivel rings are also made with Lexan GE141(polycarbonate) with a UV blocker.
Thirdly, is the patented "Spring-Assist" (in final development) available in Estate and Commercial models. The "Spring-Assist" system reduces the weight needed to raise the flagpole. When you release a section for the locked position the spring will lift that section halfway and then assest to the full extension and lock into place. This AEP exclusive feature allows us to make telescoping flagpoles up to 35 feet.
In the design of flagpoles bigger is better, AEP uses
larger tubing diameter along with 6000 series aluminum
with a T6 temper. This makes our pole 30% stronger than
other 20 foot telescoping flagpoles and even stronger
on our taller poles (see graph below). See our Flagpoles
FAQs for more information on what to look for when
buying a telescoping flagpole.
